Go read what Christian wrote about the cover of the recent Teacher Magazine and what it has to say about the state of teaching as a career. I don’t agree with everything that Christian wrote, but there’s a lot there to agree and disagree with… and certainly, we need to ask ourselves — are we crafting the teaching life in our cities so that we are creating the circumstances for people to teach for a lifetime? My fear is that we’re not.
