From author Debra Craig via Shari L — a great piece of performance art politics aimed at telling our politicians exactly how we feel about NCLB.
Her goal: send one million erasers to the Chairman of the Commission on No Child Left Behind, Governor Tommy Thompson.
You may have read that the Governor said, "Very few people say let’s scrap the law altogether. I think that’s a good sign." Well, I’m not sure he’s listening to the right people, and Ms. Craig’s idea is a wonderful way to make sure he hears us.
Erasers should be sent to:
Governor Tommy Thompson
Commission on No Child Left Behind
One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 700
Washington, D.C. 20036
It can be any kind of eraser, me, I’m going to send a whiteboard eraser with "Erase NCLB" written on the back. And Ms. Craig is attempting to track how close we come to her goal of one million erasers (I say we try to exceed it), so if you do send one off, send her an email at Debracraig ( at ) STOPNCLB (dot) org.
