… that did not involve going to Fenway for the game.

But it was still lots of fun!

First, and most importantly for the Beacon world, Ms. Tolpin officially became Ms. McCormick! And yes, the pictures prove that Beacon folks clean up nice!

Secondly, we were able to visitJohn, Ingrid and Ava. John is the person who introduced Kat and me, and this was our first chance to meet his new daughter who is five weeks younger than Jakob.

I’ve been to Philly and Boston in the last two weeks, and I’ve been totally struck by how livable those cities are. My friends have houses… with extra bedrooms… and they live in walking distance of restaurants and stores and such. Now, I think that the people in New York City are what make this city worth living in, because there are so many more interesting and edgy stories in New York, but I do get life-envy sometimes when I visit my friends in other cities.
