Admittedly, there is little that George Bush could do to impress me, and I may be rather sensitive to the CREEP* campaign’s use of images, but I was looking at the CREEP website today to look at the 9/11 ads he’s airing in swing states, and I couldn’t help but notice the header graphic. It’s an image of Bush shaking hands with a very old, very ill looking woman in a wheelchair. It is, I’m sure, supposed to show what a compassionate conservative he is. For me, it’s just yet another example of how Bush and his people will use any image for gain.
It did get me wondering what their other headers were… turns out there are six options. It’s like a Happy Meal… collect all six:
- "I’m sorry, we just slashed Medicare."
- "We just made it impossible for you all to pass third grade!"
- "These are all the supporters I have left!"
- "No, really… HMOs are good for health care!"
- "I swear there are weapons of mass destruction! I mean it! Dick told me so!"
- "Sorry about that whole ‘Bring It On’ thing…"
- "Don’t worry, you’ll find another job soon, I’m sure."
