Last year was my first visit to EduCon. I've since penciled it in on my calendar for the foreseeable future. This is my kind of experience: lots of attendee interaction, informal gatherings, shared focus on transforming education. Thanks to all at SLA who make this possible!
I have been looking forward to this since the monster cold from hell trashed any chance I had of attending last year. Can't believe it's less than a week away now.
Here's to hanging out with a fantastic group of out-loud learners... and many thanks to all the people-hours that go into getting something like this off the ground.

I first heard of Educon through my Twitter stream last year. As I read what everyone was saying and viewed the links provided, I felt energized in a way that was new to me: people I didn't really know were making me excited about something that I wasn't a part of. I decided then to change all that; I would meet members of what I came to know as my PLN and I would attend the next Educon.
I've started accomplishing the first goal and I'm very excited about attending educon in a couple of days.
Awesome! I wasn't aware of the history of this conference, Chris. I wish I could be there but many, many congratulations for getting it off the ground and making it so successful!
